Jim Ellis - Composer/Teacher

Jim is a published traditional composer and working film/TV composer. He has written and arranged music for several films and TV shows as well as more traditional pieces for piano, orchestra, bands, and marching bands. He was a drum major and student conductor at the University of Maryland in the early 90's and currently pursues secondary degrees at the Berklee School of Music in Boston, MA. 

 In his spare time (ha!), Jim enjoys golfing and traveling with his 2 sons (Disney World junkies).

Recently, Jim has signed on with Los Angeles based Coffee Addict Productions to score their feature film, Sequence Code, and TV show, Abbott Falls.

Jim is a proud member of the prestigious Society of Composers and Lyricists based in Beverly Hills, CA and affiliates with the performing rights organization, BMI.  He is currently represented by Beverly Brock of The Brock Agency.  He is also the owner/operator of the Harford Music and Arts Academy in Bel Air, MD.  Thanks for reading and enjoy the music!!
