A Show Choir - K to 2nd Grade

WEDNESDAY NIGHT LITTLE VOICES! NOW COMBINED WITH VOICES!

It was always our plan to combine the two ensembles.  We made a tough choice to start now with the combined group for our Wednesday evenings kiddos only.

The perfect starter singing group for your budding vocalist and a feeder group for the Voices! Youth Choir.  No experience necessary.  We will have so much fun learning vocal basics, singing in a group, and conquering stage fright!  Our song list includes hits from Disney, Pixar, musical theater, and an array of uplifting and inspirational songs.

Wednesday Nights - 7PM

A Show Choir - 3rd Grade to 12th Grade

Our show choir, Voices!, is a fun, community minded ensemble.  We are an inclusive group where young vocalists learn, prepare, and perform several pieces of music throughout the season. Each student learns choir essentials through ensemble performance instruction, private/solo opportunities, and sectional work. Most importantly we will all have a ton of fun while working really hard towards a series of performances, community events, and volunteer opportunities at senior homes/hospitals/etc. Music will include selections from pop, country, Disney, musical theater, holiday and more. All pieces are performed to a professionally produced music track. Our model choir is the One Voice Choir out of Utah (look them up...amazing!!)

A Few Rules and Guidelines

1.  Mr. Jim absolutely does not permit any disrespectful questioning/verbal abuse/etc. for unhappy parents or children in the event they don't receive the part/solo/role they hoped for.  We try to create a team/family atmosphere.  In that arena, the directors/decision makers have a very hard job to do.  The expectations is for all students to embrace their role and understand we are all important pieces of our story telling journey.  Likewise, any ego trips from those who receive leading roles/solos will very quickly receive a stern reprimand.  If it persists they will be replaced.

2.  How to get a better role or solo next time?  Actors/singers at any level (including the pros) are ALWAYS auditioning for their next role/solo.  In small theater and choirs, talent/ability is only about half of the consideration.  Were you prepared, on-time, invested, a good team player, respectful, show growth, etc during the last production?  If you answer no to any of these then it is harder for decision makers to offer bigger opportunities.
